Juangatillo 0 Posted July 25, 2013 You can learn new things by finding manuals, books or computers with information necessary to fix or improve vehicles, weapons, refuge, etc.. So it would be great to invent devices that help you make your experience easier in the game for example 1.-Invent a device that helps you to get or collect your fuel more fast.2.-Read a survival manual that helps you to find resources or guide you for surviving in the forest3.-Transform your vehicle in a RV (temporaly) *This is so stupid for this kind of game but what some kind of house tree? ;)
applejaxc 2500 Posted July 26, 2013 No. NO. No skills, no skill trees, no character progression. I'm okay with in-game manuals teaching players that don't want to use google; that'd be cool and atmospheric. But no, reading wouldn't be a requirement to do the action. DemonGroover 8836 Posted July 26, 2013 I am assuming there will be loads of books in Standalone so perhaps a few will be manuals and helpful.
TheDesigner 1197 Posted July 26, 2013 What Apple said. A book to show you a combination or order in which things need to be done to do something would be cool, but it still should be possible to do things without said book.
