Whatever you want to call it.

Recommended Posts

I'm positive this had been discussed to death.

Difficulty levels.

But what i have in mind is not necessarily difficulty levels but "game modes".

Normal/arcade*= more supplies, more UI, Less hunger and thirst, more vehicles,

Hardcore/realism*= well just basically the opposite of that ^.

I feel like this well help combat the KOS PVP issue.

As in people in realism/hardcore mode will be the type to engage in RP.

It will also make the game more appealing to casuals or people that just don't have the time to play for hours on end.

*Examples of names to call the different modes

Hmmm, personally, I think that there should be NIEN game modes, this would lower the player count on servers, and overall lose players...

Oh and I congratulate your grammar, Tis WUNDERBAR!

Really this idea was spun off of Rising Sun.

Realism mode being a lot more tactical and difficult.

With the casual mode still having realism in it but a lot more action oriented.

This seems a great idea but it would have to be the server owners choice of what difficulty he wants his server to be.

But it would make dayz more appealing for casual and hardcore players.

Yes of course...

I think official servers be realism and hives have a option to make easy mode.

but of course always still keeping the basics of what Dayz is about. Survival game.

Ah the quest for individuality, even down to server selection, because the dayZ team "couldn't possibly come up with settings that satisfy everyone"

Where does it say he has to? Awesome games are awesome because they have strong elements that separate them from others, hell some games are worshipped for being unforgiving and punishing. My opinion is that a single set of rules would work just fine. It would probably piss off people who where expecting something taylored to their own tastes but hey, what are they doing here in the first place.

I think a game is unique when it doesn't cater to anyone but it's creator. If you want to play it you have to put up with it as a whole.

Dark souls is a perfect example of a brutal game that everyone loves
