Kanium

Kanium is a gaming community currently having its main focus on Dayz. We are currently playing the EPOCH mod. We will be moving into the stand alone when it's released so please keep that in mind.

 

We are a medium sized community and we have around 5-10 players on average in Dayz in the evening. We tend to play semi seriously and will require com discipline and we will ask people at times to do more tedious tasks like keeping over-watch and such. 

 

Kanium will not be for everyone though. It is not for those that cannot handle being told what to do. It is not for princess personalities or for people that get offended easily. Kanium is for those that want to excel and above all want to achieve results. (After that it's all fun and banter ^^)

 

What we look for in recruits

Age: You need to be 16 years or older in order to be eligible for Kanium. 

 

Activity: We want people that are active, people that enjoy going on Teamspeak and visit our forums to stay up to date. That show their face and join us to play other games besides Dayz. We plan to ensure a active community and will chop off the inactive fat on a regular basis.

 

Teamwork: We want people that enjoy and want to focus on working as a team.

 

Willingness to learn: Do you think you know it all? Then please don't apply to this community. We will learn something new everyday as a group.

 

Honest: We want you to be honest and accountable for your actions. Both good and bad.

 

Attitude and sense of humor: We look for good people with a good attitude and a sense of humor, who can add value to our community.

 

 

 

 

The Kanium Community

Kanium is a gaming community. We play a wide variety of games while waiting for new upcoming games. Were also looking into making detours into games like Battlefield 4, Wildstar and we plan on playing Star Citizen.

 

Our community also offers active forums with relevant game related news being updated there on a regular basis for our members to discuss. We also have a very active Teamspeak server, there is always someone to talk with and people hang around there in general for the company.

 

The main reason we play games is for fun. The Kanium Leadership aims for good organisation and at the same time keeping it straight, simple and effective.

What is the wind speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

Averaging the above numbers and plugging them in to the Strouhal equation for cruising flight (fA/U = 7 beats per second * 0.18 meters per beat / 9.5 meters per second) yields a Strouhal number of roughly 0.13:

 

... indicating a surprisingly efficient flight pattern falling well below the expected range of 0.2–0.4.

Although a definitive answer would of course require further measurements, published species-wide averages of wing length and body mass, initial Strouhal estimates based on those averages and cross-species comparisons, the Lund wind tunnel study of birds flying at a range of speeds, and revised Strouhal numbers based on that study all lead me to estimate that the average cruising airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour.
