Medic Tents in Cherno. Military Tents in Cherno and Berezino. Barracks at NWA. Factories in Cherno, Solnichy and South of Polana. Heli Crashes of course. And I also found them in the middle size industrial spots and on deer stands. AB's aren't rare at all. Want something rare? Try to loot a G36 that does not come from someone elses tent or cold hands. Or NVG for that matter. Now, DayZ has become ESP: The Game. There are plenty of guides out there that explain how to map hack in Visual Basic without possibility of detection and the amount of people doing it is staggering, especially on 'white-list' servers. The only thing that's stopped is scripting, and no one is publishing programs because it just gets the program banned. Now there's huge tutorials explaining how to write your own programs in very simple languages like Visual Basic or C#. A few remaining that are private get detected incredibly often.Scripting - Either local scripts or RemoteExec ones, weren't an issue and would never will be. They show up in logs, they are dirty and usually noisy, leaving restriction kicks all around (AddCargo for hacked weapons, Select Player 0# for fail morph, Practically every RemoteExec kick and AddVariable kicks of which points out to weird stuff). Memory based hacking is alive now more than ever, and it is undetectable and will remain to be because there isn't a proper way to handle it at this broken engine. Thank god that scripts and bigger cheats are detected. I mean, who cares about the entire map being reveled with programs written in Visual Basic. Memory based hacks are indeed popular, however those available are pretty much constantly detected, and those who make their own - well, they can sometimes still be detected and I assume there are very few people capable of writing their own stuff, even with tutorials like these. My partner was babysitting my full Czech pack. 4 people on server, night. First my partner says "A guy just teleported next to me, then disappeared. Had a big gun. A 'hero'" A minute later I was made a puppet, and ran back about 20 meters to stand in front of a kiddie "hero" who had a crowd of zeds with him. They only got a couple strikes on me before I alt-F4'd. Told my partner to log off quick, and he did. He had most of good gear on him, including my gun, but we lost the loaded Czech pack, and there's no way we'll EVER go back to DE 1075. Bad karma. Glimpsed a bunch of Russian text when I was put in front of the kiddie. Probably a Russian kiddie trying to lick on my popsicle. He failed. We continued on a different public server. When you log in, you see in german "Combat logging = ban" which just shows the level of that server.You might see this as a shameless plug (it is!) but my favorite one is the one I'm admining, at signature. We didn't had a hacker in a couple good weeks. Aside from that server, there's UK418 for the more peaceful players (Low-pop), public as well. I played a bit on UK498 and I found it to be fun as well.Watch out from those edited public hive servers, the scripted ones. The programmer has to know the system itself to defeat the system safeguards. And that includes knowing any add-on safeguard system itself.These skills, simply put, are as rare as the skills it takes to develop the system. I'm calling them "skills" not in the complimentary sense. Embezzlers, burglars, pickpockets, opportunity sneak thieves, serial rapists, et al, also have "skills." That's all beside the fact there's no little to no money in it. It's a pretty sure bet that ant-virus software companies are loaded up with virus writers, because they found that's where the money is. I despise dedicated anti-malware software for that reason, and would never think of buying it. I don't need it either. Cheats are easily enough detected, and there are many games that don't suffer the cheats that DayZ does.Dayz and server admins just haven't put strong anti-hack safeguards in place. Still, hackers are always getting kicked, bans imposed, etc.I'd guess it gets expensive for the cheaters to keep buying more keys. Criminals get caught, do time, and then try again.Hackers get caught, buy more keys, and try again. I'm thinking I should report to DE 1075 what happened to me last night, in the chance that hacker would get banned.But at the same time I think, fuck DE1075. For all I know the admin did the hack, or they haven't kept their anti-hacks updated. I'm not sure, because it's the first time I was hacked. But I tend to just think, fuck DE 1075.I don't need DE 1075, and it doesn't need me. Too bad server admins have to wade through logs to ban some of the cheaters. With a robust anti-cheat architecture that would be automated.Keep in mind the way Dayz was developed, that's it's still a "free" alpha, etc. It's done a decent job given that.
