Dayz still alive? (there is a pun in there somehow)

Been gone since last year(hacking craziness) and was wondering if anyone still plays this game? (talking about normal people not bored 14 year olds).... 

Wasn't there supposed to be a stand alone at the first of the year?

What happened?

Lastly I thought this could have been a huge hit game but with so much time has this game lost it's relevance in gaming?

Arma 3 looks great btw, got my money day 1.......

Yea I am going to be coming in late and hope all the other maps,lingor,orgins,namalsk,ect

are being still played when I get it.

but I think this game still has players.

and when standalone comes out there will be tons of players even if its only the main map.

I actually quit playing the mod.

I'm to exited for the SA.

Arma 3 is fantastic!

Yeah, there are a lot of people still playing.  The vanilla mod has gone through some changes and it's become a bit tougher, you can read through the other threads here to see what's changed.  I mostly play the Origins Mod as a bandit whenever I'm alone and vanilla DayZ as a Hero whenever I'm playing with a partner.  Alpha for the standalone should be released in a few weeks.

Well actually lately i havent seen any hackers on the server i play on or any other in fact, maybe i am getting lucky but i remember those hackers who would make you do Gagnam style...
