The Paths We Choose.

Recommended Posts

I'm not a murderer. I help when I can, live while I can, and die when someone, or something, decides I've lived long enough. The latter usually happens before the former.

But why would I bother helping people when I'm sure my payment will be a bullet to the head? I do not help for bullshit moral reasons, nor so that I may feel superior to those who chose to walk the opposite path. I help because I see no point in not helping. Why would I kill and horde to benefit myself? So that I may live a little longer in a world full of murder and selfishness? Is my life is somehow more valuable than that of anyone else? No.

In short, I would rather burn out in a pool of blood with an empty backpack next to my good friend, than fade away in some forest waiting for some poor bastard to step in front of my cross-hairs, just so my dim flame can stay lit a bit longer.

We all have choices to make. All we can do is weigh the options and act.
