Help, i have several problems

Hi Everyone. i just bought the Arma 2 + Arma 2 Arrowhead to play DayZ.

Now i have installed all the games, and downloaded DayZ commander and read around in the forum.

But i have a really hard time joining a server. Almost every server i enter i get "Bad version, server rejected connection".

My internet connection is not the issue since i downloaded the game through steam at 2mb/s.

Also i cant change my name. Its just a grey area with the name "Player 1" inside. I cant erase or re-write inside.

I dont know if its relevant, but when i launch the game i get "Dayz_anim" requires addon "CA_communityConfigurationProjectE_E"

Then i just press OK, and the game launches.

Would really appreciate any help.

Go to the install/update tab on dayzcommander. Make sure both your dayz version and arma2beta patch version are up to date. That should fix the connection issues. Make sure you have run both arma 2 and OA first!

You can't edit the default arma profile. You have to create a new profile with your name of choice.

You have to launch ArmA 2 and operation Arrohead at least once :) do both games.

Are you steam or retail ?

Bigdogsco is correct about the profile, you need to make a new profile.

Thank you both! I hadnt installed the arma2betapatch :)

As for the profile, where do i create a new one? I have tried to enter Dayz, Arma 2, and Arma 2 AO and pressing "new" in the player editor. Then it just transfers me to "edit" and i cant edit the name. I have also tried to delete and create new, but then i just get to "edit" again.

I am on steam.

To create a new profile just launch Operation Arrowhead on it's own, on the main screen select 'Player Profile' and then create a new profile.
