Launching a new(existing) Vanilla based server with a steady player base already:192.31.185.212:3017

WE HAVE NOT ADDED ANY BUILDINGS OR ADJUSTED ANY MILITARY DROPS

What he have tweaked:

Residential:

There is a 1% that chance you'll find either an M16A2 or an AK74 in a residential area. I feel this is fairly realistic as there would be some homeowners who would own assault rifles.

Farm/Barns:

Have added a very small chance for an Entrenching tool, Sand bags, and a ghillie suit to spawn at these locations. These would be items I feel would be associated with a hunting/farm class.

Percents are at 2-4% for these items

Industrial:

Added Sandbags and Etool to the table, low spawn chance, but now there's a chance.

Hospital:

Slight tweak to increase anti's from 1% to 3% in medical and hospitals.

The Compound. This is a Woodbury Style fortification in the NorthWest part of the map. They're well supplied with food and weapons, but they're heavily fortified and outnumber you 10 to 1.

If you're brave enough to even try, leave your good gear at home..you probably won't be coming back.

No new buildings have been added anywhere else on the map. This will not effect to balance or gameplay of Vanilla. AI only spawn here and only spawn when triggered. Zombies are currently being removed and NPC's are being adjusted. Should be ready for release later this evening 7/8/13 or tomorrow. Gun crate values are not final, there will not be THIS much gear.

Adding more loot drop locations across the map to encourage exploring. Trees, trashpiles, rubble, etc.

OH... OH MY GOD. It's Applejaxc's dream come true. This is... this is amazing. Give me 1-2 weeks and I'm in! Danica I would do anything for you if you keep the server up.

Now if you can add "All TS users will be kicked" somewhere this would be everything I've asked for.

Although a 3% AK47 likelihood and no M16s sounds more reasonable to residential than 1% for both. And reduce high level backpack spawns in the markets, and reduce the food spawns (the apocalypse has been going on for a long time after all).

Open to all considerations.

I feel like an ass finding a perfect server and demanding more.

I'm always up for reduce vehicle parts/jerry can/helicopter spawns, increase CZ spawns in exchange for reducing US military rifle spawns (but don't change CZ ammo spawns). Crowbar spawns should be more common (people that haven't read the zombie survival guide aren't going to grab the crowbars; they're going to grab the axes and machetes they think will keep them safe)

Removing parts is considered, but I don't want to wander too far from Vanilla. Also working on zombies dropping weps. Hunters dropping hunting items (matches, knife, crossbow), Cops dropping police items (1911, flares, etc)

All low percentages.

If you don't want to remove items, that's your business, sir. But if you're going to add items, taking away 110% of what you add will keep things interesting.

Cops with M1911s on them would be cool... but remember that the M1911 is a powerful zombie weapon, and the cops are all from Chernarus. They're going to have shitty 5.45 Makarovs on them.

Soldiers with M1911s would be cool. I would suggest M9s (as M1911 isn't standard issue anymore) but a lot of players like the M9 more than the M1911.

Point being, the best loot should always come from hard work and killing players.

Right now food is scaled back from 7% to 5% in markets, meds slightly increased from 1% to 3% and bags not touched yet.

I've been playing here a bit, pretty solid.

The infection bug is putting me off though, I haven't played in a while, and came back to that ><

I noticed loot not spawning in some places. Not sure if I was just unlucky or what. For instance, I went to the Factory near Polana and the only loot I found through the whole main building and smaller buildings around it was 1 sandbag :(

Edit: Seems to be a problem with the server at the moment. Can't get into it.

I've noticed loot does this sometimes. I've gone to Polana quite a noticed it varies. I think this has to do with DayZ's loot timer. I think default is 10 minutes. It's also set to default where there's a 40% chance something will spawn somewhere.

Also, not sure if you did, but driving up to areas will cause the items not to spawn..unless it's a heli crash. It's better to drive up to chose because loot spawns and zombies don't. :o)

Only thing I did to industrial's was add a small chance of sandbag spawns so people could build stashes. They're not currently on this industrial table. There's a "military" drop, but the sandbags are not part of the "military" class on the table. They're a specific, sub-military class.

My whole goal with this loot table it to move things around a bit the way I feel it would actually be. There would def be a small chance of finding an assault rifle in a house, a ghillie on a farm, a sandbag in a construction area, etc.

Obviously the best weapons/gear will still be in the most dangerous area's, but for those that don't want to put their lives in danger..I feel it would be realistic to have a SMALL chance to find a basic AR in a house, as homeowners would own them.

Great! I tried to play a few times this morning but couldn't. Will be on tonight a bit fore sure :P

And yeah, I always park my vehicle a bit away from what I'm looting. Or park it near then run away a bit so loot spawns. No worries, I like it when most stuff is hard to find :P

Nice server. Played there a couple of times.

We'd love to have you back. Once the clan starts playing DayZ again they'll come back (6-8 players). They're stuck on "The Last of us", currently.
