"Error creating Direct3D Graphical Engine

I've browsed the forums, but haven't really found a fix for this. Before when I had just -mod=@DayZ it worked fine. However when I tried the beta, I used a good script. I launch as 'Combined Operations' from steam and get that error.

*When I launch from the Beta Desktop icon it works without problems, is this a steam related issue? Or im I missing something.

That error is given when the launch options are incorrect some where, dunno about steam or where its messed up but double check everything.

Hm, I don't know if this is to do with what you just said or a global problem. But Steam say's 'this game is currently unavaliable'.

Try right clicking Arma 2 : OA > properties > local files > verify integrity if game

After that try running it, also it's a new install you may need to start normal Arma 2 up

Straight 1.60 gives me that error, so I have no option but to run the beta... I have no fix but just so you know its nothing to do with the beta afaik.

Just delet your two profiles for armaoa under documnets. Fixed that problem for me.

I bought Combined Operations on the Steam Store. Basically I was told by a friend to have this script in my OA folder, this would supposedly allow it to run with Steam. When I launch Combined Operations from steam the script runs and launches the game then crashes with the Graphical Engine error.

You will have it, if you don't have the arma2oa.exe there is no way for you to start the game Post a screenshot of your directory please

It's Right there above Arma2OA manual...It just doesn't have exe on tr end because you have set windows up to show file extensions, you shod be able to tell though by the fact it says "application" in type

well.. i didnt searched for something like that but i tried your guide and worked fine :D

usually i start arma2(dayz) with that arma 2 launcher without steam, but now i CAN start it with steam and the beta get started 2 ;)
