Kiilg (DayZ) 0 Posted June 29, 2013 Alright, so I've always been a fan of survival games such a dayz, and when the steam sale came I just knew it was time to get it. I can't really get a hang of what is happening with my FPS. So if I join a new server my FPS will usually be around 30-60, but after awhile that will drop down to 10-15 which is horrible. I've tried to change my graphics settings but it seems to not affect my FPS at all. 10-15 FPS at very high and 10-15 FPS at very low. Please I need help, I really enjoy the game but with this low FPS I can't enjoy it.. :,(PC Specs:CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 651 Quad-core 3.00GhzRAM: 8GBSystem: 64bit Windows 7 Home PremiumGPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX
elf cakes 559 Posted June 29, 2013 you could try a different server, i have the same problem on some servers and i'm sure some other people do. some servers are poorly hosted and this means that after a while you get inevitable lag. also it could be that your computer is getting hot from all the usage, do the fans get unusually loud? the first thing i would try is another server or two. Kiilg (DayZ) 0 Posted June 29, 2013 (edited) I've tried a bunch of servers, other better, other worse. But yet I have bad FPS.My CPU/GPU is usually at 30/45 degrees celcius according to a program I've downloaded. And my fans are not louder than any other game that I play.
