Help with connection to servers?

I keep getting 'Bad Version, Server rejected connection' or a big message listing all the Add-On's for Arma 2 and it says that I should disable them or install them if I dont have them.

I dont know what to do about all this. I've got DayZ commander and have changed versions a few times but it is still not letting me join any games :/

And everytime I click ona DayZ server in the server list I get a little red 'X' before it... I dont get any green cricles, just red ones, orange ones with a '?' in the circle and then the crosses when I click on a DayZ server...

it means that your ArmA2 beta version is wrong

either you don't have beta installed or you are starting the game without it

I suggest that you download and install DayZ Commander and then follow this post

I've updated my Arma 2, DayZ and DayZ Commander, but im still getting the same messages.

I've followed all of the posts in the linked forum but it hasnt helped... Do I have to download DayZ origins or something like that to play on the servers?

if you want to play DayZ Origins then you need to install DayZ Origins mod in the install/update tab and then find a server running DayZ Origins mod.. if you want to play vanilla DayZ you don't have to install anything else

how are you choosing a server to connect to? are you using DayZ Commander to connect to the servers or are you connecting from ArmA2 server browser?

you should not be getting the same error (bad version) if you have followed the post I have linked and if you are connecting to vanilla DayZ servers

It depends what server you are playing on.
