If so what version?NOPE*Which method are you using to launch the game? I.E Sixupdater/steam/batch file:Steam*What is the Error/Problem you're having? Please provide screenshots if possible:RANT TIME!Ok. Starting Arma 2 & A2 Op. arrowhead, Steam Reminded me to use the game key to activate the game so I can actually use it. Once i got in, it NEVER prompted to ask for the key nor could i find a place to enter the key.Thinking It was no big deal, I opened up the DayZ mod (INSTALLED FROM STEAM) and was greeted with this lovely little error message attached to this forum. Me thinking it was just some random error, I proceeded to try and go into multiplayer only to be greeted with a handful of error messages"Bad server""you dont have *insert files here* You can not play this game mode""Error. You need *insert files here* to play"What the bloody hell is going on?! I tried searching the forums but couldn't get any exact results and Im afraid to report it to steam incase I have to wait 4 Fuc*ing weeks to reply only to read "sorry, but we can't fix this and theres nothing you can do about it HAHAHAHAHA"*Your PC specs:GTX 560 TiIntel i5 2350 (i think)*Your Operating System:Windows 7 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Julius Caesar 1760 Posted June 27, 2013 (edited) Since seemingly no-one's gonna help I'll try my best.First off, to my knowledge the ArmA II OA Beta Patch is required for DayZ. Second, from my own and my friends' experiences the steam version of DayZ is incomplete, file wise, so I'd recommend using DayZ Commander instead. Third, if the steam version is complete you have to right-click DayZ then click properties, click Betas, and select the latest verison.If none of this works post here and I'll try to figure out the problem, provided if you give me enough details. Does it have to be in a certain directory or can it just be installed alone?I honestly don't know because I installed DayZ originally with PlaywithSIX and DayZ Commander easily lets you update it, sorry.I'm not very experienced with helping with these kinds of problems, but I felt that you receiving some help was better than no help. Throw away your steam version of DayZ (It's unreliable anyway).Visit this site: http://www.dayzcommander.com/You can use the server browser in DayZ commander to find servers that work for you, and also to download other mods easily.BTW The error message you are getting is because you don't have the Arma 2 beta installed.You WILL need the Arma 2 beta patch.
