Camping tents?

So I've just found a camping tent, if you place it down it will settle a tent. If I'd hide it really good, and come back in a few days on the same server, will the tent still stand there with all the items?

It would be, if you could actually hide it, because since last patch, tents are useless.

Who knows, tents are magical, mysterious anomalies in Dayz. But on a serious note yes once you pitch a tent in theory it should stay present in the world.

Just to be on the safe side use the option at the tent and save it, also if logging out just make sure to have your most prized possesions on you. Pitching a tent now is like the good old days irl , where it took about an hour to get one right.

There are still places where you can hide a tent or two. But I agree it has become harder because you can't squeeze them between rocks and trees anymore. Allthough puting them between trees never was sufficient anyways you still could spot them from miles away because of the LOD models. What you want to do is find places more towards the center of map where it is unlikely that lot's of people pass by let alone purposely look for tents there. The west side of the map is just stupid anyways because the first thing people do once they get ahold of a vehicle is scan the west side of the map for any tents.

I found this out today.

I had tents on 5 servers that no one had ever found any of them,and all in a legit location.

Tried to put a tent in the same spot on 1.7.7.1.Tents and toilet paper are now equal

Tents are now essentially 3 slot antibiotics. Not worthless. And with all the complaining about not being able to find loot, I don't see why/how the majority of people are hoarding loot

Yep, they glow in the forest like the rocks, pigs and tree stumps. I found a UAZ with six of them and thought I had found the lost gold of el dorado. Every single place I try and put one that would be a good hiding place, it says "nope...not here girly-man". I cant 'rest' in them, or repack them either.

Now I simply repair and hoard cars and trucks all over my area of operation. Easier to move and typically hide. No complaints here, just sayin'
