Discrimination/Racism in DayZ

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever targeted someone specifically based on their class or status in this before? Or have you been targeted?

If so, what happened?

Also, say what you want, but in an authentic situation like DayZ's, stuff like this would be absolutely rampant. Sorry, that's how people really are deep down. It's been proven through out entire human history again and again.

I haven't (it's impossible to be racist against an Australian haha) but I sometimes hear about private servers booting people for being a certain race. usually to avoid side chat filling with foreign language.

Well Australian isn't a race... I guess ignorance is a universal quality.

Anyway: You KNOW (not the person I'm quoting, but the forums in general) you've seen someone in a female skin and not shot them when you normal would have, only to find out it was a man.

Well, what I have experienced is that players in a female skin are shot/killed less often than players with male skins. I'm not entirely sure if this is true, and if it is discrimination or just "gentleman-ism", but I think that women should be treated as equals.

If you can shoot a male, you can surely shoot a female too.

(I'm not saying that you should shoot everyone though.)

I know, it's a nationality not a race, it's just I'm not aware there is a word that would work. It's just far easier to call it racism.

Yeah? Well it was "far easier" to blame a certain ethnic-religious group for poverty after WWI, and look where that got us.

Some people are racist, some are not, this is the way of life.

DayZ is a game/mod, life does not come into it.
