New Server bringing back the oldschool DayZ feel

Hey guys, i recently set up my new Private Hive trying to recreate an oldschool DayZ feeling.

The server is running DayZ 1.7.7.1 and is set to Hardcore, meaning NO 3rd person, NO crosshairs, NO death messages and NO waypoints.

We are running an enhanced version of Chernarus which makes the north more rewarding, small towns worth looting and big cities more authentic.

Other than that we are running 2 plug-ins: Auto-Refuel and Streetlights at night to make to refueling less of a hassle and the night interesting.

The Servers name is: Namco's DayZ Private-Hive (v1.7.7.1/beta 103718)[HARDCORE|GMT-4|AutoRefuel|Enhanced Chernarus] - Survive or die trying!

The server is awesome and worth a try :thumbsup: . A LOT of additional buildings, most of them just fit right in! But some are not placed very well, in terms of tactic, spots, etc pp, compared to other buildings. NEAF and NWAF and some towns feel alot more 'realistic' now, but sometimes I feel like there are too many barracks in one location :| . Besides that it's a great setup for those who like the veteran difficulty. Zeds knock you off your feet quite often. No 3rd person, so no peeking around corners without being seen. Streetlights is a very good addition since nights can be tough and pretty dark. It also gives more of a realstic feel. Still others like the light too, so be carefull ;) - Autorefuel is not much of 'hardcore', but I'm ok with that since Zeds can hear you refill from pretty far away and makes refueling a single huey pretty exhausting. There is still alot of shiny stuff to get. Some vehicles in Stary Sobor, I saw a huey at NWAF, some vehicles at NEAF, just to give you some directions and info if you want to join B). The server runs smooth, good ping for EU-Players, but Americans and Aussies should be fine, too. Well ofcourse there is a lack of players because the server just started yesterday! Stop by and give it a try, you won't regret joining. :D

I might sit down and change some stuff about the refuel script (maybe slower refueling or make it only possible from the outside).

As for the map, it's still being worked on by me and i update and add things almost every day. I will most certainly take a look at the things you reported.

Since this server is still in its test-phase, Side Chat is enabled to allow player the give feedback have their questions answered.

Later on this might either get removed or depending on the servers community might stay.

There is an great Oldschool Server running DayZ 1.7.2.6 . It is private Hive and it is awesome :) Check it out :D Day/Night. Normal Spawn Gear ( 1 Bandage, 1 Painkiller, 1 Flashlight) Some cars are there. Old Helicrashes. Old skins Old tents everything makes the old dayz Feeling.  Come and check it out.
