CBL ban?

Hello there guys, ive been a player of arma 2 since the beginning, ive played ofp arma 1 and 2 for years.

I sometimes quit playing for a while to pick it up again later.

Few days ago i wanted to join after not having played for few months, i can join regular servers that dont run this mod, but whenever i try to join a dayz server it says youve been banned and then a code w 4d9b2182 etc.

I find that kinda weird, ive only played dayz less then 10 times back in the days when it started as a mod. Ive never hacked nor have i ever cheated throughout my gaming on any arma server.

Is it enough to put a banappeal on the CBL Banlist https://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist/issues/list

or are there any other procedures i should follow to get unbanned?

Not this again, basically mate you're screwed :(

Nobody maintains the list so everyone on it is trapped, you can appeal per server to have yourself removed but it's a long process.

Personally any admin using the CBL is an idiot, All script kiddies on it will have new keys by now, leaving only the innocent trapped.

oh oke, well thanks mate for your reply. Fair enough, ill just contact the servers directly.

On one hand i understand it, cuz i played these games for so long at least the hackers stay away now.

Better to have a few innocents banned then a hacker on the server because that ruins the gameplay for everyone.

So if i understand it correctly every server i want to join i should contact them individually?

If so i guess ill stick to a few servers that i think are good and ill appeal there.

You will need to contact each servers admin and ask to be removed from the copy of the CBL lists they use.
