Alright, so here's some background info.. I played DayZ some last year in Windows XP, no problem. Said Windows got screwy, so I formatted it all and I am now running a clean install of Windows 7 Pro (installed last night). I can only play DayZ for so long and then - at some point - I get hit with a blue screen.

This is what I'm running:

ARMA 2 and Operation Arrowhead were both purchased through Steam. Both were installed last night.

I'm using DayZ Commander; it says that ARMA 2 is up to date at v103718 and DayZ is up to date at v1.7.7

Something about hardware, I think. It stays up for about 30 seconds and then it just reboots.

I've got the .dmp and .xml files from the error if that helps any?

i am no expert myself, but next time u see the bluescreen make a note of the error message it gives you.

that should make your problem easier to solve.

Alright, I'll play again until I bluescreen and then snap a picture. It reboots too quickly for me to write down much of anything.

I had my phone right next to the computer, camera app open, and I barely was able to take this picture!

I forgot to mention previously that when I try to run DayZ through Steam, I get the error: Addon 'dayz_anim' requires 'addon CA_CommunityConfigurationProjectE'

This error doesn't occur when I run through DayZ commander; FWIW.

Hi i had a look at your picture and it seems that you could have a voltage problem (Have you tried to OC your GPU or CPU?)

Also if you can try taking out all of your ram and trying 1 stick at a time to see if you have any that are faulty.

A quick google of your error code brought up this LINK there is a link to the most common BSOD error codes also a link to a memory test to check if you have any bad ram.

I hope this helps you a bit.

Thanks for the input. I haven't OC'd anything, no.

I'll try fiddling with the ram

Alright, so I did a memtest and.................... 1 stick of RAM failed, horribly. 6,000+ errors. The other one can't get far in without the program seeming to lock up. Well, it locks up, eventually, with either of them. With the latter, though, one time it said that the test was complete without errors, but it wasn't running very long.

Either way, it explains a lot. I'm gonna contact GSkill about replacing them. They're only 2 years old and I've never fiddled with them.
