VespahHD 0 Posted June 15, 2013 Server: 146.185.31.106:3068Time Zone: GMT+00 (5:40)Incident:So I was playing DayZ, and a guy comes up behind me in direct but I didnt see how he got there. He gave me a DMR, I thought it was out of good will. Then he gives me a Ghillie suit. When I equip the Ghillie suit, my ArmA 2 froze and I got a pop up from my computer from the windows help saying" What is Data Execution Prevention?Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) code from system memory locations reserved for Windows and other authorized programs. These types of attacks can harm your programs and files.DEP can help protect your computer by monitoring your programs to make sure that they use system memory safely. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you."So I am assuming by equipping this ghillie was some form of .exe or stealer ect. This "Hacked" ghillie also appeared in a few other peoples inventory.I can't provide any proof of it, as I was not recording and my ArmA shut down. But this is some serious stuff. Also, I logged back in, No DMR or Ghillie.I'm hoping someone can shed some light. Thanks, Vespah. PK Richie 507 Posted June 15, 2013 If this is the case then surely you can't be banned  running downloaded .exe files is obvious but losing a key through interacting with other players is part of the game. You should report this to BattlEye asap :)

person915 345 Posted June 15, 2013 In-game key stealers cannot exist. There is no way to take down the integrity of it while inside the game.BUTif somehow this was done, these needs to be traced, and studied, and prevented. It could be just a script kiddie, sure, but if it's not...Now I know there was no way for you to know that it was a hacker or not FOR SURE, but we all have to be really careful. Watch your CD key for a few days and GET BACK TO US.
OrLoK 16185 Posted June 15, 2013 (edited) Hello thereTBH I would not worry unduly as nothing like this has ever been reported before and to me seems unlikely a key stealer would be connected to an in game item.I would simply make a report to BE and see what they say. I would also contact the server admins and advise them as to what you think happened. I think it's something else tbh.RgdsLoK Edited June 15, 2013 by orlok spellin
TheDesigner 1197 Posted June 15, 2013 (edited) When you equip a Ghillie, it doesn't run any sort of .exe. The only .exe ran is ArmA. Edited June 15, 2013 by TheDesigner
