friend spawns and hes dead?..

so me and my friend (adam( were on our server and we both logged out as we had to go to uni for an hour, when we returned he logged in at the coast.... like he had died and re-spawned, lost all his gear... what is this about guys, do you know if its some sort of glitch? :/ i know its alpha and all that but this is a bit odd. much love! - Mark

Sounds strange. Did you change your profile in main menu or created new one maybe? (Don't think it would make you a new character though)

Well character do become thirst and hungry while your not playing, perhaps you guys were low on food or water? Just a suggestion.

Naa i made sure i eat and drank before i logged off, we actually took an extra 20 mins to log off as i was low on water. I thought the same with the idea of maybe i created a new profile but i checked and i still have the same profile. I was only logged off for about 2 hours, we had been travelling a good while before i logged off too, he logged off in same spot and logged back in ok.

Mabey perhaps a zombie had spawned near you and killed you when logging or joining or perhaps the server did not properly store your character and save it, leaveing you in a field of zombies or some shit?
