Thank you R4Z0R49 and rest of the dev team

You guys defintly brought new life to the game lets be honest, in the previous patches the only thing that was left to do was to find military weapons wich were abundant and hunt other players down that was all, it turned out sometimes you spent lots of time wondering around and you would not find no one and the game turned out so boring... Now i found myself killing zombies for food because resources are so scarce and because they are a real threat now (specially the new viral ones they can infect you so easily) and you need to clear out tows of zombies to loot so this patch is a big win because you guys added a pve element to the game along with the existing pvp wich leaves us with more things to do ingame. Many congrats to you guys.

Quick question, since I haven't had the time to play with the latest patch yet, do zombies respawn just as quickly as in previous version?

After getting 5 antibiotics per hour you should start getting a little immune, no? I'm quite sick about this... IRL...

False read the patch notes, now they take 5 min to respaw so its possible to clear small tows.

Hold up here a minute...

A thread actually giving credit to the Dev's and not bashing the patch..? What is going on here?

There's some bug fixes and tweaking to do but honestly i haven't had so much fun playing vanilla dayz in months,

The zeds are so much more of a threat now and for me that just makes every aspect of the game better, be it PvE sneaking around towns just in the hope of getting some antibiotics or PvP running with a group all helping each other out. or whatever style of gameplay you prefer.

I've even seen strangers help each other out more than ever, something that i thought was long lost.

The guys working on DayZmod put a lot of time and effort in trying to fix bugs and improve/add features for us all, and they do this for free and in their spare time.

Even if you dont like some of the changes they make try to consider the challenge's they face working on a mod trying to make a game do things that is was never intended for.

I'm sure most do appreciate what they do but sadly as always its those that can only respond to something they dont like with hate and unconstructive criticism that are usually heard the loudest.

Keep up the good work guys, and thank you.

right good patch indeed!

brings back the good old survivalism feeling

zombie knockdown feels a bit fishy and no as50's are some changes that bug me

but compared to the vast changes of everything else its forgiveable

good job keep it up

ps.if you find the time pls pm me the reason behind banning the .50 cals im still curious :)

Great patch

It's definantly a challenge and I've not had any problems finding loot although it is rarer

By crouch walkibg through berezino I found 3 sets of matches so not as rare as people complain

Yesterday in electro I ran into a hero and survivor pinned down by a dmr sniper and had a bandit come by saying he will give some cover fire, he fired some shots at the dmr sniper and the sniper logged

After this an epic battle with the 4 of us ensued against a zombie horde

The bandit died fighting them off in a doorway with his ak and I got infected and the hero with a hachet also died

I helped fend off the zombies until my last breath as the survivor who had a Winchester hadnt been hit yet

You would never see this in previous patches

Thanks for the great work

Every patch needs a hotfix or two and this one is no different. Overall I like quite a bit about the new patch even the knockdowns everyone keeps complaining about add an element to PvP that I find interesting since players have to pay attention to the zombies. So overall I would say good job to the community development team and hope that other players are able to offer constructive feedback to fix some of the issues with the latest patch. Loot spawn rates need to be increased but not to pre patch levels since so many found that too easy (I never cared, I like loot). Maybe tweak infection rates or just add more antibiotics and fix hospital loot spawns and you have yourself a decent patch.

We can't get more salutes? Come on guys! Sure you have a strong reaction to it at first, but the new patch is great!

Hats off to the devs for having the balls to do this in the first place!

Hip hip....

Good job, guys. Really-- it is meant to be hard and the cleanups and the like make it realistic. I'm back to where I was when it first came out-- starving, dehydrated, -now- infected, where I in my survivor mentality actually think about murdering people to survive.

The dilemma is back.

This patch is so much more of what I loved about Dayz when I first started playing. Even back then, loot felt scarce because I had no idea where to find it. Now they've captured that feeling of not knowing when or where you might find your next meal. I was actually playing Dayz by carrying nothing more than a revolver and a hatchet most days as that was what made hunting for loot challenging. Thank you for making it feel like I am surviving against zombies again and not just people. And thank you for getting rid of the .50 cals. They had no place in Dayz except countering armed helis, but I don't think those have any place in Dayz either so we're half way there. I feel Dayz should be about making people earn both their survival and their kills. Its the apocalypse, nothing should come easy. This patch has helped both those things and I'm definitely liking the 'new' Dayz.

Hello there

I think is incredibly kind of R4Z0R to keep on with the project in their own time. Those who dislike the changes can just stick to older or modded versions.

If there's a real issue then constructive feedback is key as the dev's will pay attention to decent posts. Rants will be ignored/hidden.

S! to the devs.

Almost everyone I have ran into in this new patch is friendly because they are so ill-equipped that they couldn't afford to shoot me even if they wanted to. Normally I just help them out If I have a blood bag but if I have antibiotics I can almost never spare them because of the zombies who slap my ass and infect me. Still really fun hehe

For every person that likes the new patch there are 10 that hate it.

You are starting to see the results already most servers are beginning to roll back to the previous version.

Good thing I ran across some tents filled to the brim with medical supplies...hopefully not hacked. Anyways, great patch and it breaths new life to the mod.

Lol you are so full of BS, search in dayz commander there are barely 1.7.6.1 servers now compared to 1.7.7.

Reality a infection should take weeks to manifest into something critical.

this antibiotic to infection ratio is insanely way to unrealistic*. (does not belong in Dayz)

and IMO does not fit.
