1.7.7 Lack Of Antibiotics

Hi All,

First off please no hating just trying to to add some constructive criticism to the new patch

Ok, after playing 1.7.7 for a a couple of hours and loving the increased threat of the zed's and not 100% sold on the scale of how much they have reduced the loot spawning

I do believe that to balance out the high risk of infection and increased deaths because of the new knock-downs ,increased zombie speed , awareness and path finding with increased Antibiotic spawn locations and or spawn chance.

After looking up on the DayZ wiki it seems it only spawns in hospitals/medical tents which is only in 3 cities on chernarus.

So if you have an infection and you are not in the vicinity of these areas you are pretty much fubar'ed. By the time you make an attempt to get to one of these locations you would

A) Passed out countless times & possibly raged quit

B) Run into a roaming zombie to put you out of your misery

C) Been killed by another player

Since the majority of players are going to be infected (only a matter of time) in the current build these hospital medical tents are going to be the biggest hot zones on the map

There's also a very small chance of finding antibiotics in residentials, industrials, hunting, church, supermarket, infected camps and farms.

Thats everywhere,

You have to be very cautious around zombies now, if you are getting infected often its because you are taking too many risks.

And if you do get infected, I'd say the worst thing you can do is run straight for a hospital, as you are relying on luck that way, go hunting, fill your backpack with meat, this will greatly increase the amount of time you have to then go and seek antibiotics.

I have been there three times and have only found blood bags, bandages, morphine and epi pens. Is this a problem with the server I play on or is this happening with this particular hospital?

I know, it's just I can't last long without food before the illness sets in and I need to go on a cow killing spree just to stay conscious. I'll probably just go somewhere unpopular, die and get my stuff after I respawn.

I think it is nice that something is scarce. Gives you a goal, and or something to worry about.

You could also try to ask someone for anti biotics. That would also be a challenge.

Don't worry guys. The good thing about infections are that they spread. Maybe I am over reacting by thinking this is a problem after only four hours of play, but this needs to be looked at. Once more and more people face the new grim reality of infection, the numbers of people calling for a change will only grow. I am off to the game world to kill cows until meds finally appear.
