derwouldd 0 Posted June 11, 2013 I just recently started playing DayZ. I'm tired of the same old map, I want to play on the newest maps. I don't know how or where to get them. I bought Combined Operations from Steam, installed them. Installed the OA Beta. Then installed Day Z mod(from steam).I'm on version 1.6. I don't know how to update it, or if that is the current update. I see some servers on higher numbers, such as 1.7.And what does the symbols on the server mean? I've seen a green dot, red dot, and a yellow dot with a question mark.
Durkin 11 Posted June 11, 2013 Hey bro. Day-Z is one of the more confusing things to start up for the first time, but there's a few launchers out there that will help you out. Most people use the Day-Z commander. From there you can filter your search results, add favorite servers, download different Day-Z mods as well as update them. You can get the launcher from here http://www.dayzcommander.com/ I gave up trying to launch Day-Z from steam or the actual program, and was relieved to find something like this.
