Trouble getting Beta 93825 to work

Recommended Posts

I posted this in the help forums like 2 hours ago, still haven't gotten any help and I'm eager play, so I'm hoping someone here will help me out, thanks in advanced!

Hello, getting some problems with this beta patch, normally i didn't bother with it, but more and more servers are having it as a requirement in order to play.

So i went to http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

and downloaded the latest patch, installed it and ran the game. That is, the beta patch shortcut. Having done that i couldn't see the "DayZ" mod thing in the upper right hand corner, so i exited and launched it as i always do from STEAM. "Play OA, select combined ops"

Go to multiplayer and for some reason it's saying my version is 1.60.85250

Or something along those lines :/ i have no idea what to do, can anyone please help me figure this out?

when you install the beta patch you get a shortcut in your operation arrowhead folder.

i had a few issues getting it to run properly (3d9 engine errors?), in the end i used the beta shortcut to run dayz.

basically just properties on the shortcut and add -nosplash -mod=@dayz after the quotes in the target box.

save and double click it, that way it runs the beta, and dayz, you don't actually need steam to run arma2 even if you bought it from them.

or use the updater yeah that works everytime for me.

I dont get this at all, The patch remains up to date when i launch the beta application as an admin, but i can't run DayZ from the beta patch launcher,

so i go into steam (application, not the folder) and click on operation arrowhead, and from there launch C.O. But then the patch version goes back to bloody 85250 or so.
