I dont get this at all, The patch remains up to date when i launch the beta application as an admin, but i can't run DayZ from the beta patch launcher, so i go into steam (application, not the folder) and click on operation arrowhead, and from there launch C.O. But then the patch version goes back to bloody 85250 or so.

Should start with a melee weapon at least, and make morphine a bit more common

still having an issue with this if anyone can help then that would be greatly appreciated

So i went to http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php and downloaded the latest patch, installed it and ran the game. That is, the beta patch shortcut. Having done that i couldn't see the "DayZ" mod thing in the upper right hand corner, so i exited and launched it as i always do from STEAM. "Play OA, select combined ops" Go to multiplayer and for some reason it's saying my version is 1.60.85250 Or something along those lines :/ i have no idea what to do, can anyone please help me figure this out?

Firstly it's spelled Fantasy* Secondly you don't get dirty or smelly in this game. If people want to play third person then they can, i prefer it at the moment because i'm still learning, and there's nothing wrong with that. And about playing a female, they're less likely to be shot on sight.

Tried 2 servers now, both are just completely sluggish. First it takes a while to send/ receive data, then it just seems to lockup on "Waiting for server response" and "Loading" Anyone else getting this? it's currently happening on the ON3 server and one hosted by Orcon.

Found 3 others in the outskirts of a spawning town, we waited for my mate Connor to appear (who i was using teamspeak with) before heading off inland. We hiked for quite some time before we managed to find what i think is "Little hill." We began cleansing the town and shared what food, ammo, weapons and other supplies together. It was all peachy, then we got 3/4s of the way through the town and found a well, we topped up our water and continued north. However, in a completely bizzare and unexpected twist, no less than 10 zombies spawned LITERALLY around us! We tried falling back, bullets flying through the air, the 12 zombies quickly became around 2 dozen! panicking the 5 of us became separated! I chased who i thought was Connor into a nearby building, another of the group had followed me, but it became hopeless as we darted out the other side. I lured zombies as a comrade shot them off me until he ran out of ammo, i returned the favour! Having been beaten and bruised, we returned to try and find the other survivors, we found no less than a dozen corpses in the building we had fled through, Connor had died and 2 of the other survivors had vanished. : ( Memory is a little blank after this, i think i decided to respawn and try to catch up with Connor, it was great that we all worked so well for the time though.

if they were all slow then the game wouldn't be challenging at all, I think have runners and shamblers, mix it up a bit.

Pretty much the headline, updated the game using the auto patcher, but its been "extracting files" for about 15 minutes now. I have a feeling that it should not be taking that long

Choosing where you spawn more guns, like SMGs in more places. Melee weapons knockback attack?
