A quick question

Recommended Posts

Hi there, sorry if this is out of place but i would like to ask if there are any private dayz modifications that focus on optimisation? I am currently unable to run dayz on more than 20 fps when in a city. I heard something about dayz civilian and wastelands, they do not have zombies but i do not realy care about that, i just want to enjoy the multiplayer part of it in a decent enviroment.

If there is a mod that is close to system requirements to like arma 2 or even 3 since i can run arma 3 on 40 fps and 2 is 60 stable on high, please tell me, thanks.

Btw cant wait for SA alpha, i got myself a bit better cpu and more ram, and i hope that will be enough since i am expecting the standalone to be optimised. Cheers

Just a heads up, be sure you only download ArmA II/DayZ files from reliable and trusted sources. Random links promising to give you increased FPS usually just steal your game.

Hello there

Chernarus is notoriously intensive, try other maps, you may get an improved framerate.

http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/121474-dayz-sahrani-map-port-version-01/ This mod might be worth following as its map is very CPU friendly, but it depends what they add.

Also as rage says, dont download any "optimisers" there are none.

Just use dayz commander.

Yeah, there's no programs out there. Try different maps perhaps, and play with the settings in-game. There are guides out there that help you chose your settings for best frame rate, although I don't have any saved at the moment, just search around on the forum and on Youtube (don't download anything).

One tip though, low settings do not equal better FPS. The lower settings are a bit harder for you computer to render than the normal ones, so in general, stick with normal.

Look up on the net, because you can disable some of the graphics options that chew up frames (like Orlok chews up troll threads) and enable others that aren't so intensive

This is a good link:

as is this one:

Generally, just google it.
