kicked from server, battleye failed to update.

i have tried all the "fixes" in all the other threads with the same problem with no luck so far, i have uninstalled the game more than once, tried running in admin and i have downloaded battleye manually but i still get kicked, i used to be able to play with no problems at all so i dont know what changed.

i would love to have some feedback if possible.

got the game from steam

Update your router firmware manually.

I find this fixes it when there seems to be no other 'fixes'.

Helped around 5 people with this same problem so far.

also when battleye is updating make sure you just sit in the lobby (player list screen) as it updates.

bare in mind your anti virus may be conflicting with Battleye, if so try white-listing the program in your anti virus.

#3. Right click Arma 2, Select Properties.

#4. Go to Local File tab, Select Verify Integrity of System Cache.

(Do this to Arma 2, Arma 2 OA and then the DLC's If you have them. Once this step is completed, close Steam)

#4. Allow game to enter to the Main Menu, Log out of game, back to Steams Library,

#7. Allow game to enter to the Main Menu, Log out of game, back to Steams Library.

battle-eye needs updating and so does steam, at times u'll need to repeat these steps later on when battle-eye/Steam updates. Steam refers to it as "First Time Setup Phase" for arma games it's required to start the game from steams library from time to time to ensure constant updates.

(Note) You'll have to do this only when you run into battle eye updates or steam updates. If your missing files such as deleted/courrpted data, In that case you follow the first steps without launching the game, just verify the game cache, and you'll be good to go.

tried all that but i still get the same error, i have also tried staying in lobby for battleye to update but it just telling me update successful but still loads the same version. However i will be trying to update my router's firmware next to see if that fixes it

open battle eye on your computer and in add/remove program feature and uninstall battle eye, try updateing from the website, and install it manually and make sure that the target file locations are all correct with the items ur using to launch, it's important to make sure your registry keys and files have the same locations as well.

i have upgraded my router's firmware but i haven't gotten the chance to test if it works since i get Connection failed on 90% of the servers when using dayzcommander, i found out the only way to get around that is using the Arma2 OA beta patch.exe that is in the game folder, i will keep trying however.

I stopped using dayzcommander since a steam version of dayz mod came out as I was getting lots of errors, I now just launch from steam and use ingame browser and its fine

ty that fixed my connection failed issue however every server i join whether i wait in the lobby for the update successful message i still get kicked after around 30 seconds.

the message i get in the lobby from when i first join tells me Battleye initialized after a few seconds it tells me the update was successful but it loads the same version

downgrade your beta patch, then run it again, try to get the battle eye Setup complete before you update the new beta

*update* i have finally fixed it, thank you everyone for the help.

i was just about to downgrade just as Zgraphz, however while i was looking around in my C drive i found a file in a hidden folder not sure if it was because am using windows 8 or not but the path is:

C/Users/*Username*/AppData(hidden file had to switch hidden files on to see it)/Local/ArmA 2 OA/BattlEye

with a BEClient.dll file in it, i just updated that and it fixed it.

Edit: i stopped using six launcher or dayzcommander since launching them after manually updating battleye tells me that the game is not up to date and after i do update it, it takes me back to the older version of battleye. i use dayz mod beta patch to play now which seems to work fine

so happy now finally i can play, thank you everyone again for the help.

PS: i could post all the things i did in a list if you guys want a thread to be stickyed about this issue
