What to do now?

Hello all,

I recently found a really nice private server that just started up a few days ago ( So new that the cherno bus was satill there in fact :) ). Anyway, I've managed to get up north to the NWAF, and currently have a UAZ, food, water, and an M109 sniper with a full clip. I also had a Ural, which someone I was teaming up with hid for me (he hid his heli wherever that is, too). I was not on when he hid it, so I have no idea where it is.

Anyway, What I was wondering is what I should do after I get the ural back (or of i just stick with the UAZ)? I have enough supplies to survive for quite a while as well as a jerry can, so I'm all good in terms of that. Other than finding some other weapon than a sniper rifle, I have no idea what to do now. Any suggestions would be appreciated :).

And I suggest, I you're playing solo, don't drive, it leave you extremely exposed with no buddy for protection.

Is there Side Chat? I always like to read what goes on in side chat because it can create interesting things you can get involved in, so like there might be a guy baiting noobs in who you could go kill or help, talks of vehicles, people needing lifts, people needing bloodbags, roaming bandits, people talking about bases you could go find and raid. .

Thanks so far guys :). The server dosent have much of a population yet (4 ppl at one seems to be the norm), but there's a fair bit to do :).

i may go give a bus to some noob if any come on (uaz is batter), and try for some weapons.

@ statik, why do you say I shouldn't use a car? It seems pretty safe to me, and as there aren't many ppl yet, finding them isn't too hard.

any other suggestions would also be awesome :)

First of all I think you should nail the guy that stole your URAL, not just get the URAL back and after that go Bandit-hunting on the known sniper hills

relating to he ural, he didn't steal it - I had our vehicles in a bad place and he said he'd move em - I had to go to work then and he wasn't in when I get back. He should be on whan I get home today. He also seems to be a nice guy overall - didn't mind when I crashed our chopper LOL

Start a taxi service. Advertise in side chat. When someone asks for a ride, drive on over to them. If they start shooting at you, run them over. If not, give them a lift. A generous player will tip you at least some beans but I would not expect payment on a regular basis - nor would I demand it. You'll be surprised how much you can learn about the game and the behavior of others driving random strangers around the map. Come up with a catchy slogan, something like 'Chernarus Tours: we get you there under fire'. You're vehicle will get damaged and likely destroyed. You'll get ambushed and betrayed, but you'll also have a heck of good time making a name for yourself on that server.

A few starters..

Sus out people from a distance, watch how they interact with other players so you can decide whether they need taking out or a friendship can of beanz..

Set up small traps with items that someone will definitely come and have a look at, when they are down checking out the loot spring out and challenge them as to why they are stealing your stuff.

Declare a village or area yours and then be prepared to defend it.

Set up a tollpoint with hedgehogs and barbwire and charge people to visit Cherno/Elektro

Fill the shops with steak, bacon, beanz and coke, declare yourself open for business.

Become a photographer and snap happy pics of the dead.

Start a heap of fires on top of Pik Kozlovka , set up a tent and wait for people to come by so you cab share campfire stories.

Same as the bus service, run a boat ferry service for new spawns.

Drive people to Green Mountain, tell them you are going to get some supplies from your tent and will be back in five. Never return.

Stalk. Randomly throw tin cans at your victim making sure not to be seen.

Stay unarmed, everytime you see someone, scream like a wild chicken, drop a can of beanz and run.

Crouch on the road,,when someone comes up and wonders what you are doing count down from three..two ..one..ZERO! then sprint off shouting I AM WINNING !!

Land your heli on the ball at Stary.

Start a car lot, with spares as well as refurbished vehicles.

Thanks again guys for all the great ideas :). I'll be sure to try some out in a min - the taxi servace seems especially interesting.

I've also found a server with more people, and now have a SUV and some food :).
