DayZ origins FPS help And help with budget build?

Recommended Posts

I get like 20 fps on DayZ I have already cleared space but I would like more fps my specs

Windows Vista Home Premium 6.0 Build 6000

English

Acer

Aspire m5100

Phoenix Award BIOS v6.00PG

AMD Anthlon 64X2 Dual core processor 4400+ 2 cpu's at 2.3 ghz

3070 MB RAM

Direct X 10

And I would love a nice PC within $1000-1500 that plays DayZ/ArmA 3 at a smooth 60 fps maxed out.

I don't really understand what you're looking for here?

With that CPU and seemingly no dedicated graphics card you're lucky to be hitting 20 FPS.

When you say you'd like a $1000-1500 system, do you have the money and want help selecting parts or were you just putting that out there?

The build Rammfisch put together up there is pretty nice, although personally I'd go with the GTX 680 over either of the cards that he pointed out. That would stretch you to the upper boundaries of your budget though.

Would you know anything what I need for DayZ origins with Ramdisk and does ramdisk improve the FPS. Like I mean I have ArmA 2 & ArmA 2 OA on my D drive not C and I have alot of space on it like 90 GB so will ramdisk help or it won't?

RAMDisk isn't really needed unless you're running on a slow hard-drive. If you got an SSD as suggested in the above build then I'd recommend installing ARMA and DayZ to the SSD as it has the same effect but better.
