Felixthefriendlycat 92 Posted May 23, 2013 (edited) When I buy a game I like I feel good about the fact that that money is going to a team that deserves it. I have bought many games full price that I did not like as much as I had hoped. Now I hear rocket stating DayZ will be cheap, which has to do with the fact that its not an AAA title. But the fact is that the mod itself is one of the best if not the best game I have ever played. And when the standalone comes out I think I will feel bad about the fact that I gave Bohemia Interactive less money than other developers of games that I didn't even like. I would like to see a supporter edition of DayZ for 50 euros because I think the dev team would deserve it and need it for further development. I think it is a very noble act of Rocket to only charge us very little in order for everyone to be able play the game but I know that there are lots of us that want to show our support. And quite frankly having my name in the credits of an possibly industry changing game like DayZ would be absolutely fantastic.Arma 3 supporter edition was and edition of the game that cost a lot more but gave you the option to get your name in the credits. Mr Mouse 61 Posted May 23, 2013 I don't agree with pre-orders or collector/supporter editions. Many companies make false promises before a game's release, and a few companies have folded not long after I've purchased their games.I'll reward you in the long run, not the short term.

It is just about players wanting to show they care by paying what they think its really worth and getting some recognition for it. Getting your name in the credits is very simple and of course they would keep their word. Edited May 23, 2013 by Felixthefriendlycat
sausagekingofchicago 4711 Posted May 23, 2013 Buy a couple copies.
Felixthefriendlycat 92 Posted May 23, 2013 Buy a couple copies.Thought of that too but ill end up giving those copies away which in turn wouldn't help the devs because those people would otherwise have bought it themselves. I don't even think steam allows it for 1 account to have multiple of the same games.
sausagekingofchicago 4711 Posted May 23, 2013 Create steam account, buy game, change steam password to something insane, repeat.. finally change email password to something impossible to remember. Feel satisfaction.
