DayZ, ARMA2 & OA Freelook Problem

I haven't played DayZ in a while and upon returning to it a couple of DayZ (see what I did there?) ago, I realised that I was suffering from a game-breaking bug:

Every time I press the ALT key to look around with Freelook it centers beneath my player with the camera looking directly up to the sky rendering the feature useless. Not only that, but every time I enter a vehicle the same thing happens. I am stuck unable to see where I am going.

Any help anyone can give me will be greeted with my utmost respect and gratitude.

Hopefully I can join you guys in the desolate lands soon!

I appear to have fixed it by creating a new profile. However, I did promise gratitude and my utmost respect! So for replying so quickly, you both get my beans, my utmost respect, gratitude and love!
