Took a break from Dayz - Is everyone still running around with AS50'S?

Hello,i have come back from a really long break from Dayz and am wondering are AS50's still very common? I remember almost everyone had one which just turned the game into a one big sniper simulator.

AS50'S still the number one weapon!?

Not really, though AS50s will never be removed from my server; SOMETHING needs to take out armored bandit squads. Whatever, though; it's Rocket's decision overall.

Ammo is bloody impossible to find. ;)

Tried using an AS50 once, hated it, went back to my DMR and never looked back

I prefer Enfields... decent range and accuracy, none of the zeroing hassles, and plentiful ammo... and its fairly powerful too, at least against people.

Yeah the Enfield is my main starter weapon, i love it!

Btw is duping still going on with tents etc?

Wait AS50s are being removed? When did this happen but at least there wont be tons of sniping with it :P

A server I currently play in has completely removed the AS50, but kept the M107 in spawn tables. That way its easier to pick the hackers out too, given that 95% of hackers usually just give themselves an AS50 and ghillie straight off the bat.

I never really understood why they decided to replace it with the LRR when it's very close to being the AS50's equal.
