DayZ Standalone - Particular "Bedroom" - Players private House

Recommended Posts

Yesterday before I went sleep this ideia came to me and I got amazed by it, lol.

But seriously, I was thinking, everybody is trying to discovered the best ways to build a house, to create buildings underground, then my subconscious had this ideia:

- What if, before you join a server (at DayZ SA), you could enter you "storeroom", or "bedroom", anyways a very small house that you can not leave, but you can walk inside. Inside the house you could, spending some hours in the game, upgrade it, to get like: freezers (to stock food), a wardrobe (to stock clothes, watchers, binoculars), a bed so you could rest evey 24-48 hours in real life to recover a bit of health and even healing a cold.

I though about every player to have this system, a small house, storeroom, where you can acess by the lobby. Of course, this "house" would be strategic and well balanced like, you can't store infinite weapons, you could be able to store the maximum of 2 weapons of your choice, the food would be limited by the space you have on your freezer and stuff. And to leave the house to go the lobby you could go to its door and leave, then you would be redirected to the lobby. It's not anything like "the other game", where you can store infinite number of items. Many more kinds of furniture could be created and upgraded by spending hours in the game. Imagine you being able to go to your cabinet, open it, look inside it and take the clothe you want.

There's a lot to think about it, to improve, to balance, to talk. I would like the devs to read this, many people wish their posts to be read by devs, so I can't do much anyways. And if it's not ask much, if you read this, even if you didn't like it, imagine this idea, you inside this house, the house system and eveything, then comment if possible.

I'm sorry for my english, it's not my native language.

Yes it is obvious I was making an impossible claim that I would enter your lobby to steal. It sounds interesting but I think sense it makes it in penetrable ingame it should not be added.

It does sound interesting and a good alternative to the underground base plan, (how much can u dig anyway). The only problem that I can think of is that your avatar would need to appear at a specific location on every log in, (representing u coming out of the house). I mean u can't pretend to visit the same house from anywhere on the map and come out of it at any place u last logged off. If that where to happen, your friend Steak and Potatoes would probably be wating for u outside ;p

I don't know, maybe we don't need a place to appear after leaving the house, we could access it from wherever we last logged off and log in the same exact place. Or maybe.. We could only access this store room when we enter a house, any house around the map. If the player log off inside a house then he can access the store room, pretending that house was his.

I don't like any gear, weapons or inventory items that can't be forcibly and unfairly taken from another player.
