battleye initialization failed

Hi guys i need some help i was playing dayz with my friends yesterday and today i came on to play dayz but when i try joining battleye servers it has waiting for host than battleye initialization failed and i cant join any of the servers and i dont know how to fix this i triend unistalling my battleye and re-installing but that did nothing could any please help me

Try this. I'm gonna assume you're using Steam, if not the same principle applies.

Got to C:\Users\YOUR USER HERE \AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA and delete everything in that folder.

restart steam as admin (right click and select run as administrator)

Start arma 2 oa and sit in a low ping batteye enabled multiplayer game and wait for battleye to update.

are you using retail or steam version

do what fraggles says he gets that info from a good source you dont need to find steam in users

appdata is a hidden folder in your user home folder

you can enable hidden folders in the options and layout

delete said folder in there "ArmA 2 OA"

for steam version

exit steam

start steam by right clicking on the icon for steam and selecting run as administrator

then start arma2 oa and sit in a low ping battleye enabled server

then you can try launching dayz

thanks ithink i under stand now but i cant find were to enable the hidden folders cause right now when i go users and my account there is no appdata yer i cant find options and layout

Organize ==> Folder and Search Options

then click View in the tab at the top

then click the radial for show hidden files, folders, and drives

thansk but evertime i open arma 2 oa it opens up dayz instead

ok doesn't matter just sit in the lobby waiting for battleye to update

reinstall arma 2 and arma 2 oa , it worked for me
