Downside 15 Posted June 19, 2012 I've emailed the staff yesterday about getting approved for the hive status of my server so it can go public for DayZ. But how long does it take them to get back to me? Maybe I'm wrong and didn't have to email them? I thought I read it somewhere.Anyways I would like to discuss a new possible rule admins can take action on. What about the players who keep respawning themselves for a better location? This floods the servers does it not? If we see a player die 3-4 times within minutes of each other. Can we not kick them for abusing? I know the difference when people are dying from zombies and just respawning, because its often and fast.
lvg 1690 Posted June 19, 2012 Did you use the contact button on the home page and then set the dropdown to "Server Hosting inquiry" if so you've done it right, and as for the response time they get a very large amount of users wanting to host a server so i'd give it a few days or you could try asking someone like Vipeax for an Instance ID and server white listing. As for your rule, to be honest i don't see anything wrong with it really and on my servers i haven't noticed any lag because of it
JeffCraig 1 Posted June 19, 2012 Get on the IRC channels also. Its not really any easier to contact a dev there, but at least you can chat with fellow players/admins about your issues and ideas.
