Error code 2894 - HELP!

Hi everyone,

I recently bought ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead, giving me Combined Operations. All is installed and ready to go. I downloaded the DayZ Commander, and when I open it to install it on my desktop, an error comes up saying:-

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. Error code is 2894.

I also get this error message when trying to install Steam...

Any help please?! I tried re-installing the Windows 4.0 Framework but it made no difference.

For a heads up, I am running Windows Vista on a Dell Studio XPS... I don't know much else apart from that. Noob, I know. Just so desperate to start playing DayZ!

could be two things either

An incorrect or corrupted version of the riched20.dll (Rich Text Edit control.)file is on your computer or the riched20.dll file is missing from your computer

or

your computer is infected with the Nimda virus

I definitely have the Riched20.dll file on my pc. How do I go about repairing/replacing it? And I hope I don't have the virus... I have full Norton antivirus installed and it says there is nothing affecting the PC... I am so confused...
