Zederok 0 Posted June 19, 2012 If I upgraded to the new patch will I be unable to play any of the other servers untill they are patched up as well? If so this sticnks theres only a handful of servers that have upgraded and all are full or high ping making play unbearable.
Shroom 12 Posted June 19, 2012 You will have to revert to older version of code to be able to properly play on servers running that code. You may be able to play with the wrong code, but be warned, things you don't want to happen will happen. Glitches will be abound, and you will not have a fun time playing the game. Sound will likely not work, and you'll get a constant message blacking out your screen informing you that you're running the wrong files. If any other files have been updated, such as equip, weapons, vehicles, etc., you will need to revert those as well.Best pick a server and stick to it, or keep different version of the files in your addon folder and overwrite as necessary if you want to join a server running different files. JeffCraig 1 Posted June 19, 2012 Keep a backup of old hotfix files if you want to switch between versions.I know it's a bitch right when a hotfix comes out. It takes a day or so for everyone to get updated and the updated servers. The new versions are buggy as fuck sometimes too, etc. It's tempting to roll back to just be able to play. But honestly, this is alpha. Read the rocket facts of life post. Sometimes shit sucks, but just deal with it. We need to play the latest version and report what is broken so rocket can fix it. If we all revert to older versions, it will hurt the debug process.
dizzymagoo 19 Posted June 19, 2012 If you're located in the US, my servers are usually some of the first ones to be update(Mainly because I have no life).
