Graphic issue

I had the arma 2 free before then decided to upgrade the graphic textures of the game and purchase the full version. I am still finding that the roads are still really low res and the guns etc.

Is the problem that i had the free version before?

Your pic looks normal to me

The only thing that will improve some textures is the 2 dlc's, brittish and private military company, not sure about default survivor skins but I know it improves the hero and ghillie skins and some vehicle textures

what about the roads and some the other barns they seem way too low res for the normal?

Mine looks better then that (I also have BAF and PMC though so not sure if it effects that particular gun), what are your video settings? Maybe uninstall ArmA 2 Free first, then install ArmA 2. (Make sure you launch ArmA 2 to complete the installation)
