Monster CPU... with very low FPS

Current CPU Setup:

I7 980 OC'd to 4.0 Gigz (Six Core)

16 Gigs of Ram

680 GTX

Windows 7

Current Frames in DayZ 40-50

Frames in BF3: 100-120

Girlfriends CPU

I5 2500k NOT OC'd

16 Gigs of Ram

6950 Radeon

Windows 7

Current Frames in DayZ 70-80

Frames in BF3: 50-70

What the fuck-o-meter: 100% My computer should be destroying hers in every way on DayZ. What the FIZZUCK is going on here?

Try the startup paramaters '-cpuCount=6 -exThreads=9'.

also dont overclock, theres absolutely no point, especially with the size of your CPU.

u cant compare arma 2 to bf3, just cant...

I've read somewhere that arma doesn't like i7 processors.

I have i7 3770k @ 4.0ghz and I get similar frames to you
