xtremenirvana 0 Posted May 12, 2013 Hey guys, I understand that most people are posting on here looking for a shoulder to cry on because they got banned for hacking or what not, but I really do have a strange problem. I played dayz for a long time, about 4-6 months ago I uninstalled everything and did a fresh install of win 7 on my pc. I just today started redownloading all the necessary dayz stuff to play again. after I got everything set up I attempted to log back in to one of my old servers and when it loaded I got a GLOBAL BAN #3438FA...I have been searching for information about this specific ban and cannot find anything. I have already emailed battleye and am waiting on a response. I am really confused at this problem...I have never cheated or downloaded anything that had to do with cheats, I have a few characters on some private hives but that is the most extreme ive gone. If anyone has any idea at all what ban #3438fa stands for at least I will know and I can try to resolve this issue on my own. I am currently reinstalling everything all over again hoping I just got a corrupt file somewhere. I will be pretty pissed if I have to purchase or fight with steam over a new CD key when my arma2 has been uninstalled off my pc for months.
Jordan* 277 Posted May 12, 2013 The global ban, I believe is always the first 6 characters of you GUID. So your GUID must start with 3438fa, The global ban numbers do not stand for anything I do not think. Someone else correct me if I am wrong
Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) You will have to wait to hear back from BE on your email unless you want to purchase another copy of the game. The ref you listed like Jordan stated is strictly part of your GUID. There are various things other than hacking that have caused people to rec these bans ranging from quite a few different spectrums.Importantly noted, if you stopped playing a while back you could be someone who fit in with the false positive wave that rolled through a few months back.Best of luck to you. applejaxc 2500 Posted May 12, 2013 I'm pretty sure the ban # is randomly generated liike a serial key.
xtremenirvana 0 Posted May 12, 2013 well that is upsetting, I am sure I could swear to god or Buddha or whoever and people will still think that I downloaded some hack or something. But in all reality I did not, I really like this game and had a blast playing it. I never even got a chance to log into the server...as soon as it started to load the first time I got banned. Now it wont even begin to load. I have run virus, malware, spyware scanners and everything has come back clean. I do have a question though...I watched a few videos on how to set up private servers without paying for them, I noticed that it uses MYSQL to launch the servers. I have MYSQL on my computer from GTA:SA multiplayer, it was running in the background when I loaded the game. Now I am not sure if I had this stuff installed before when I played months ago...I am beginning to think that I did. I have no other idea why I would get booted like this. I haven't played the game since late last fall I think.
