Compass bad detail

Hello,

So I have been playing dayz for quite a well on low-medium settings, not the best pc. but hey ho! So I have noticed when i load up my compass "K" that it is really blurry, I can identify, north,east,south,west etc on it, but not to the scale that you can read the numbers etc, I just thought this was normal, but I watched some youtube videos the other day and saw someone load there compass up, and boof! It was a amazing detail? Is this cause my settings are not fully up? or cause I am maybe missing one of the expansions which helps textures etc?

I'm assuming it's because you have your settings on a lower detail, I don't have any of the expansions but my compass is perfectly readable.

My interface Resolution is set to: 1920x1080

and 3D:960x540

Put them both to the same resolution and give it a try.

A lot of the time it doesn't like being set to different resolutions as it sometimes stretches it out and textures get messed up.

He's playing on a relatively low spec machine, I'd recommend turning the interface res down to 960x540 instead.

Just make the 3D res, and interface res match up.

Did you update gfx driver recently ?. I just did and now i can barely read anything other than the chat all text is blurry.

The "blurryness" of the overall game/ compass is caused by the low 3D resolution you've set. If I was playing on 960x540 I wouldn't wonder why my game is blurry..

Except the compass is clear and highly detailed when in map.

This is a known issue, look at the changelog for 1.7.7:

* [NEW] - Bigger Compass (You can see the number of degrees).

Should be fixed soon... I can't see jack on my compass.
