My new cd-key

Hey guys, i played so much dayz, but i have very bad lag spikes so i wanted to increase my FPS.

Bad idea, i donwloaded a program that was suposed to increase the fps but later my cd key got stolen...

I contacted bohemia and they give me a new cd key, now i have the game again but the problem is

That i deleted the program and my antivirus don't detect any virus, but im not sure at all if my pc is 100% clean of that malware.

And i don't wan't to format my pc again

Dude, that is incredibly uncool. Someone's asking for advice to help prevent him losing his CD key, and you hijack his thread to try and get him on your server. I'm willing to bet you've done more harm to your server than good with that post. Good job.

OP, to answer your question - there's only one way to be absolutely sure you've got rid of that nasty keystealer, and that's unfortunately to reformat again. I know it's a pain in the ass, but it's better than the alternative, no? :)

And for those reading this thread, this is the reason you don't download FPS boosters from untrusted sources. ;)

If you are just wondering about getting rid of the keystealer software on your computer- Uninstalling it and deleting it straight from your drive is the way I got rid of the software that stole my key. If you can't find it and/or are not sure that it's gone, don't open the .exe program. You know the name of it, so this shouldn't be a problem.
