v3c1c 86 Posted May 2, 2013 restarted to play Dayz and noticed that I have good old "Dayz feelings" back. but there is only one rule - stay out of Cherno or Elektro. There are just huge number of noobs who first shoot and then ask questions. But good thing is - these cod/bf kids just cannot imagine that map can be huge and there is no borders around city.every thing lil up north is good "old time" Dayz - and people there seems more mature, there is some bandits but there is also good peoples too - who will help you if needed. But what i would like implemented in DayZ SA is stats.ok Rocket can remove stat that shows how many ppl you have killed but I would want to see likehow many zeds killed with axe, revolver,AK ..... etc.btw do not understand that hero skin - i have one but what should be done to get it ? Is it only because I have not killed any player ?
Tr1x 53 Posted May 2, 2013 Hero skin is given to you when your humanity is above 5000, so yeah if you aren't killing people and being a good dude you'll have high humanity
v3c1c 86 Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) Hero skin is given to you when your humanity is above 5000, so yeah if you aren't killing people and being a good dude you'll have high humanitygood to know - than its more challenge to get hero skin than bandit skin :)I guess its mean if you meet hero than it is less chance to get killed Edited May 2, 2013 by V3C1C
spangley_special 19 Posted May 2, 2013 Generally that is it yeah. Most regular survivors are less likely to KoS you, bandits however are likely to go out of there way to get you.

tajjuk 65 Posted May 2, 2013 by "ol DayZ" you mean walking north for hours without anything happening at allWhen I first started playing I kept reading that NW airfield and places like Stary were really dangerous populace places but I regularly ever see people there, most people can;t seem to bothered to trek north.Hero skin is given to you when your humanity is above 5000, so yeah if you aren't killing people and being a good dude you'll have high humanityI noticed yesterday that my mate was wearing a hero skin, he said he didn't notice it and didn't know what it was so I asked him what his humanity was and it turned out it was 21k! He had no idea how he had managed to get it that high as he doesn't go out of his way to help people.
JeffDetroit 717 Posted May 2, 2013 "can't be bothered to trek North" - but surely you're using the Tardis?! (it came on the latest mod)
v3c1c 86 Posted May 2, 2013 by "ol DayZ" you mean walking north for hours without anything happening at allyes absolutely, and when something happens unexpected you make bricks :)It is way more fun to meet some stranger in Petrovka or some other strange place. Usually when you have went that far you somehow more scare of getting killed and you know that person you met feel the same.when you PvPing in cherno or electro only thing what pissing you off is that you need to run those 300m back to city.for most of dayz players ideal dayz would be map size of cherno with very slow or standing zeds. + action like in cod

AfterShave 140 Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) btw I have not seen any helicopter crash sites are they removed ?There are actually quite a few of them around the map, but they are usually devoid of any loot thanks to assholes with hueys Edited May 2, 2013 by AfterShave

Mayuyu 411 Posted May 2, 2013 I remember that feeling, so I completely understand! Haven't played in a while, and after watching DayZ videos It's a bit nostalgic now.Zed count is/was a good idea, but I was always too scared to start shooting them since people would think I was hostile/come to the sounds.Hopefully in SA I can waggle my e-peen of zombie kills easier. tajjuk 65 Posted May 2, 2013 btw I have not seen any helicopter crash sites are they removed ?I've been seeing loads, in fact I travelled between 5 in a row earlier but little was found at them, they seem to struggle to re-spawn stuff either. yes absolutely, and when something happens unexpected you make bricks :)It is way more fun to meet some stranger in Petrovka or some other strange place. Elektro/Cherno you expext to see people, when you've trekked for 30 minutes without seeing a soul and then suddenly you hear a shot in the middle of nowhere it scares the life out of me, I agree though that people furhter north seem more cautious because they've got so far they don't want to re-spawn and probably have decent gear, that adds to the tension of an encounter. Not many f*cks are given round Cherno because people usually have just spawned so aren;t going to loose much.

It does get a bit boring though so currently Ive ditched all my good kit in one of my tents , headed south and am camping the road north out of Eleckro for bandits.
