Easier way to switch gun from backpack to main slot?

I don't know if there is an easier way and I'm just doing it the hard way or what. But I'm tired of switching my DMR and M4 CCO the long way. Having to drop your main weapon to open the slot, then open your backpack up and switch the other one to the main. Then having to HOPE AND PRAY that you don't lose connection for some ungodly reason before you put the other gun back in the backpack. IS THERE A BETTER WAY AROUND THIS? I just lost my DMR due to a sudden ping spike and I'm just a little upset. Please tell me I'm just being an idiot doing this the hard way.

yes there is, if you put the gun from your backpack strait into your inventory it will automatically put your weapon youve swapped with into your backpack.

As said. Do not do it the other way around!

Remember backpack to inventory.

whatever you do don't try to put the gun into your bag if it doesn't have enough space for all the ammo or you will lose it, it's happened to me a few times.

As others havepointed out, open your bag, and move the gun from your bag, to your main inventory.

This will swap guns as well as ammo quickly.
