The can dilemma.

Hey fellow DayZ fans,

I have experineced some changes in the mod and I need your help.

My question is very odd, but: what happens to the good ol' Heinz baked beans and coke cans?

I know there is many fresh new cans since the last update and this is good, but will the original brands be removed because of law-problems with the companies?

The problem is, that I'm quite only on private servers and I cannot say the truth, because the have changed loot tables.

What is changed and why?

Could the community clear this up for a bit?

For the mod nothing should happen, it's not being sold as a product and I really can't seem them doing anything about a community run mod.

For the Standalone I can imagine there being problems if there aren't any permissions, I'm pretty sure they are creating Chernarussian brands for SA to avoid all of that.

Rossums is correct, the mod will continue to use name brands, as far as I know, and unfortunately they've been removed in the standalone due to copyright issues.

They'll get taken to court if they use them in the standalone, so I assume everyone else is right. It's a damn shame I don't get my own can brand, who cares if I don't have ten thousand posts or only been an active forum user for the last three months. People love me, right? RIGHT?!

This is so damn true... I know them because of the mod and they are really awesome.

So thanks guys for the answers, I have suspected that with the standalone, but it was confusing they had them in the SA Dev videos.
