Dayz Skins of Ourselves

Recommended Posts

After seeing the fantastic work of "Doctor Dentist" I decided to modify his skins and slap my ugly mug on to use in DayZ/Arma2.

I haven't tried it out yet but plan to tomorrow.

Which brings up the question: "Has anyone else made their own DayZ skins and are they willing to share?"

What skins do people have in mind that they'd want to use?

I was thinking a face with a red/white series of concentric circles like a target; or perhaps a collection of eyeballs (like a dozen, amassed).

Note: no, those aren't my eyes and arms... but that is my bald-spot. Hey, WTF, I never said I was a pin-up!

These ones are quite impressive. Most servers don't allow custom faces though, I think the filesize limit is set to 0kb by default and they can cause additional lag on the server.

Yeah, that guy in the middle looks like a refugee from "Blue Man Group" - But there definitely is no mistaking Friendly for Enemy with THOSE colors.

No. My bitmapping skills combined with my beautiful face would cause a light so bright it would render all eyesight useless, and no one would be able to witness my fluorescent beauty any longer. 'Shoot me down. Go ahead. Just so I can stop and stay and you can stare at this pretty face. On my corpse, as it may be.' So I spare the community this and use the one of the pre-programmed faces.

So how do the normal people IRL deal with all this?

Simple: flashbang tolerance and a whole lotta sunblock n' expensive sunglasses.

Let's just say most days things are looking a lot like the Matrix.

Correct indeed opened up custom skins for a bit even had a competition but when all was said and done caused major lag issues. Prime example was sausage king his net could not handle it.
