Bad version...

Can anyone tell me why it says Bad version, server rejected connection, as an error message whenever I try to connect to a server? I'm new to this and bought Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead just so I could play Dayz. some help would be appreciated. Where did you get Arma II and Arma II: Operation Arrowhead?

I downloaded both games and the Dayz mod from Steam.

It's got nothing to do with where you got your arma. It's most likely because you're trying to access servers that have a different version of the mod or patch. Double check you're trying to access the right ones, via dayzcommander or similar software.

Jo, get that DayZ Commander (post above), install it, start it, update the game, go to settings and tick on both steam options.

Got it, and yea, it works great. Much better and simpler to use than the default way.
