DayZ - Cool FPS but micro stuttering ?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

for first excuse me for my english.

I have problems with micro stuttering in DayZ.

The problem is that every 3 seconds ... or every 3rd step in game I have small lag ... for example for 0.5 seconds or 0.3 seconds whatever ..

My system specs are : GTX 580 ( 1536MB DDR5 ), i7-2600K 3.4GHz ( OC to 4.1GHz ), 12GB of RAM ( Kingston HyperX ) 1333MHz, MB Z68A-D3-B3.

For the GPU .. GPU is up to date. (314. 22 WHQL )

I tried really everything to fix that but it was unlucky ... ( Reinstalled OS W7 Home Prem. SP1; all the games including Arma2, Arma2OA, Arma2OA beta patch, DayZ mod ) (running through the steam or DayzCommander nothing helped )

There is just one server called DayZe.cz where the game running smooth. But not everytime. ( On this server I have ping something about 5-20ms )

But when I try to play on another server that have 20-40ms or another czech server where the ping is same ( 5-20ms ) I have micro stuttering again and again.

If I tried to play Arma OA without the mod dayz game is running perfect ....

Settings in Arma2OA are the lowest and the FPS are about 100 in the open area and in cities something about 40-50 FPS.

In the config files for arma2 and for arma2OA I changed just these 2 links: GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000 to 1

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3 to 1

If anybody have some ideas how to fix that... please tell me.

EDIT: I thinked reinstall to SSD should fix this problem but it didn't.

Could be something in the background instead of Arma.

To be sure it's Arma (which is likely...): if you've got a virus scanner, disable it, and quit everything else that's running.

Have you tried running a RamDisk?

Maybe defrag the partition where Arma is installed and in control panel - power options - advanced - set the hard disk state to "never" turn off if it's not already for you
