So for now I have decided to play DayZ with Arma 2: OA and A2F, OA is currently being installed via steam where as A2F was not. Will I be able to make DayZ work?

I'm also wondering if I should just use a third party program like Dayzcommander to deal with all of my dayz needs OR if I should just get the mod through steam.

Any help would be egg-salad. Thanks kindly! :D

Any copy will work, retail or digital, steam or otherwise.

I would recommend DayZCommander highly, as you can update ARMA, DayZ AND any addons for DayZ.

Yes I see now that I can force the install directories in DayZCommander. Sure is handy, I was worried about things not being able to find each other. This does not seem to be an issue.
