Spookmag

Server question

Recommended Posts

Hey I need some help. I'm new to this game and have become hooked in the last 5 days of playing. My brother in law lives in South Korea and I'd like to get him into this game so we can play together. Can he connect to a US server from Korea? Or can I connect to a Korean server from here in the states? I don't want him to spend the money for Arma 2 if he can't connect from Korea. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. My game tag is spookmag if anyone wants to link up in game.

Well anyone can connect to any server ( Excluding whitelist, blah blah blah) You two can connect to the same server yes, just one might have a pretty crappy ping

I imagine it would be fine, plenty of Australians (including me) play exclusively on US servers with no problems. Some will likely have ping restrictions but there are plenty that don't.

It just depends on what locations work for the both of you. If that's US, great. If you need to go European that would be fine too. I'm from the US and get 150-175 ping consistently on EU servers. I'm not sure of the connections for Korea, but just take a look and compare what your pings are.
