My most interesting playthrough so far...

Recommended Posts

So I've seen alot of videos during my time playing DayZ of the group of bandits who swoop down and kidnap people, and for so long I have wanted to experience this myself, today was my lucky day!

I was a fresh spawn after being killed by hackers a few days ago and spawned just outside of Cherno, Immediately I find a Winchester in a barn then make my way to the city. I see 2 fellas running down the coastline, So I approach them shouting "Friendly", one was unarmed and the other only had an axe so I thought they wouldn't mind grouping up, they were both Russian and didn't speak very much English but told me they were also friendly, the guy with the axe then approached me and hit me, breaking my legs, I go down knowing I shouldn't have trusted them, but a reaction shot from my Winny knocks him unconcious, his friend stood just to the side, laughing over direct chat, once he sees his friend die, he starts yelling "I AM FRIENDLY" but I wasn't taking a chance, I was bleeding out and had broken legs so killed him before he could pick up his friends axe and finish the job. Once their corpses lay in front of me, I feel a sense of achievement and begin a long crawl to Cherno.

Anyway skipping forward I managed to find some Morphine in the firestation, heal up and head off to the supermarket for supplies, I finished looting and headed out the back when I hear a vehicle, I begin to run off, looking behind me, 2 guys in Ghillie suits, 1 guy had an m24 and the other a FAL, they tell me to drop my weapons and get in the supermarket, I was literally sat there with a massive grin on my face! Finally an interesting experience!

I was eventually told to get in the SUV (they had 3, kinda like a convoy) and we drove west, we pulled off into a country lane where they got me out and patched me up, they seemed quite pleasant for kidnappers, I had a laugh with them and they told me they liked me, told me to take an M24 and that I could go free, to which I did, then the firing began, unfortunately for them, they couldn't hit a barn door with a broomstick!

I manage to get alot of distance between me and them, then hear one of their guys go down with broken legs, a friendly fire incident I believe, which made the whole event even sweeter!

Unfortunately I believe they were script kiddies, as 30 seconds later they caught up to me in a chopper which was not there before and killed me.

It was still awesome.

tl;dr - I killed 2 guys and got kidnapped.

It's these little experiences that make the hours of being shot on sight by 12 year old douche bags all worth it. :D

Nice,

that's one thing i haven't experienced yet, being kidnapped, i kinda want it too happen just to see what goes down, the other thing in my 100 hours of playtime i haven't done is killed anyone yet, i usually stay out in the wilderness surviving rather well, my humanity is in the plus (kinda want to keep it that way) but i know sooner or later i will have to kill someone, lets hope it's a bandit and not a survivor.

I play very similar, however if I am close to Elektro or Cherno I will do a loot run.

I never fire unless fired upon, bandits however get shot on sight...
